I started writing when I was a kid. My first story was a brief tale about aliens landing on Earth and learning how to farm, then basically taking over the world through agriculture. Since then it’s all just been a slightly longer version of that tale, and I’m still trying to get published. You can find some of my other writing over at Associated Content, or at SpeakWithoutInterruption.com.
I entered the world of online marketing through Yahoo!, where I learned the ins and outs of search engine marketing, PPC advertising and managed several large accounts including MLBShop.com, NFL.com, NHLShop.com, Eastbay.com, Equifax, Course Advisor, St. Judes, NCMEC and some pharmaceutical brands. In 2008 I left the purple of Yahoo! for the red of Ask.com, staying only briefly before taking a Content Strategist position at Disney Shopping. At Disney Shopping I helped create an entirely new taxonomy and site structure for their redesign and helped optimize the site. During this period I also served as SEO Consultant and Content Specialist for the UCLA Health System, helping optimize over 25 satellite websites for their various medical sectors.
In November 2008 I started House of Copy, an online marketing company specializing in Copywriting, SEO, SEM and Social Media Management. House of Copy has provided copywriting, SEO and consultative services for clients such as StoreLoop.com, FurnitureBuyr.com, HID, Forplay, Inc., Decipher, Inc., and more.
In 2009, I created WineWelfare.com, a budget wine review site that finds great wine deals under $20, suggests foods to pair with them, and offers a little wine education.
I hope to be able to keep up with this blog, but there might be some gaps here and there. After all, wife, family, work, writing and life in general are all constant passengers.
