55 Fiction Contest

I recently submitted a “55 Fiction” piece to a contest on TheColorsMagazine.com, a very nice site showcasing some great writing on topics like love, society, fiction and much much more.

The rules of “55 Fiction” are that you must tell a story within 55 words (duh) but maintain a sense of suspense or strong emotion up until the final line, which is essentially supposed to give release or just give the final blast to the story.

Not sure when results will be posted, but I have to say, it was worth it just for the fun of following an extremely strict structure.

Leave comments for the other writers if you like. Very good quality.

Thank you for participation in the contest. You did a great job and I really liked the way you presented your story. It really deserves to be among the best 6 in the contest :)

  2. Thanks so much, Lena!

I like your site very much. Very different than what is currently out there in terms of theme. I’ve noticed that things just naturally slow down a bit and relax when reading it. I especially like the “Literary Corner” section, not just for obvious reasons, but also because I like the selection of tales so far. How do you decide what to put up there?

Anyway, thank you so much for having this contest. I appreciate your comments. Keep up the good work and good luck!
